I got my Nikon D40 oh about three years ago as a birthday gift and I love the thing. I am hoping to upgrade to a new Nikon D90 this year keeping my fingers crossed. The D40 isn’t the fastest or best DSLR out there but it does the job and is compatible with most NIKKOR lenses. The best part about the D40 is you don’t have to be a pro to use it. It has modes like auto and sports mode so if you don’t know how, or don’t want to program the camera its point and click. But if you have the time and patience you can go into aperture settings shutter speeds ETC. I’ve found when my wife is using the camera and shooting action shots of R/C Cars and Trucks that the best mode is Sports mode, with the shutter set to multishoot. |
